The hide-n-seek is finally over. Siddharth, who has ruffled many a feather time and again and recently even irked the local media with his tweets had gone completely underground lately.

 

Now, after a long hiatus, the actor has come out in the open and one can only guess that it is producer Dil Raju, who urged him to do so in order to promote his film. Hyderabad Times catches up with the angry young man of Tollywood. who may have finally broken the silence, but still seems to be grumpy as ever.

 

Everyone's been saying that you look young in this film...

When I acted in "Bommarillu", people complimented me saying that I look very young in that film. And now, five years later, they tell me that I look much younger than what I ever did, in "Oh My Friend". It's another thing that critics don't notice these nice things. Let me tell you, you can't look young just by wearing jeans and T-shirt. That's not good enough. To exude the energy of the youth on the outside, you have to feel young inside. (sic)

 

After " Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana", you had announced that you won't be doing Tamil films again as you consider yourself a Telugu actor now. You did stay true to that statement for almost six years. But now we see you signing Tamil films again. Did you change your mind...?

When did I say I won't act in Tamil films? Did i? I don't think I said that. And even if I did, where's the evidence? I will do any film I wish to. Right now, I am doing a Tamil film based on Srinivasa Ramanujan's life.

 

Critics haven't really been talking much about your acting skills...

 

When critics say 'Siddharth is his usual self in this film'that means that I have done an excellent job. Mani Ratnam once told me that if people stop noticing your typical mannerisms or the quirks you bring to a character, that means you are actually doing a good job at acting. I did bring in a few interesting aspects and mannerisms to my character in this film, but obviously the critics are too busy criticizing to even notice or write about such things.

 

How come no one talks about your projects either...

The year 2012 is going to be a very important one in my career. I am doing four films in four languages and they are all releasing in 2012. No one talks about the good things I do.

 

So what are the other good things?

After mostly working with debutant filmmakers all these years, I will soon be working with the 'hit director' Nandini Reddy. Her debut film was a huge hit and she's directing me in her second film.

 

Is acting with Shruti Haasan again an option you'd consider...?

Why just Shruti Haasan? I will act with any heroine I wish to act with, even Deepika Padukone!

 

So what else is happening on the personal front.

I entered the 11th year of my film career. Apart from acting, I would like to concentrate on my personal life too. So, in one month I am going to announce an important thing about my personal life.
