Maoists throw out Gaddar
The CPI Maoist has suspended balladeer Gaddar for making “anti-revolutionary” comments, according to police sources.
The CPI Maoist central committee has released a letter suspending Gaddar who has been the cultural voice of the revolutionary movement in the state. He headed several frontal organisations of the Left wing extremist party and is currently the Telangana Praja Front chief.
Recently, during a TV channel discussion, Gaddar had stressed on the need for the evolution and formati-on of a democratic political force.
“The CPI Maoist par-ty has said that his comme-nts were creating confusion in the revolutionary movement. He has been suspended. He was part of the Kala Mandali and was a strong sympathiser all these yea-rs,” said a police official.
Sources said some intellectuals and sympathisers of the party had written to the CPI Maoist central committee against Gaddar.
When contacted, Gaddar said, “I haven’t received any communication. I will speak only after I receive it. It is an issue between me, the party and the people. How is the state interested? It’s an effort by the police to assassinate my character. I have made several sacrifices in the movement.”
