Although Ileana is excited about her role in the romantic comedy Barfee, her spirits are dampened by baseless media reports.

“In fact, some have even shocked me,” she says adding that with false stories cropping up every other day, she’s “spent quite a few sleepless nights in the last few months”.

Does she think that she’s facing the heat of a hostile Bollywood media? “I wouldn’t call it hostile but most of the reports have no iota of truth in them and cause inconvenience with my co-stars,” she explains.

“There were no cat fights with Priyanka Chopra,” says Ileana who claims to have become buddies with the Bollywood leading lady. She denies that her quarrel with Priyanka was because Ileana’s role was supposedly better in the triangular love story.

“This is utter rubbish because we had good fun together and Priyanka even helped me with acting tips. We have equally significant roles so where is the need for insecurity,” she points out.

What about the reports that her male co-star in Barfee, Ranbir Kapoor, shunned her on the film’s sets and spent more time in his caravan instead? “We actually spent hours together and Ranbir is very friendly and jovial. We are even leaving for Ooty to shoot some key sequences of the movie,” she reasons.

On the positive side, Ileana has quite a few B-town stars willing to share screen space with her already.

“The response has been amazing and things are falling into place so fast,” she avers.

Ileana states that the Telugu film industry will always remain close to her heart and it’s has been responsible for her star status. “I haven’t been able to take up more offers but I would like to strike a balance between the two industries,” she clarifies.

Is she wary of the rising stocks of teen divas like Samantha and Tammana. “No such fears, since my position is stable and secure. I have never believed in the number game,” she concludes.
